Introduction

Industrial Training Institute Rayya Amritsar was established in 1960 & has emerged one of the most popular ITI for imparting skills in various Technical and non technical trades to meet the skilled manpower requirements for technology and industrial growth. Over the period of the time we are fulfilling the needs of the industry of skilled manpower requirement. Many Students have completed their Training & they are well settled in various jobs & professions in India as well as abroad, the period of training varies from 6 months to 2 years, while the entry qualification varies from 8th class to 12th class pass, depending upon the trade. The age limit for admission in ITIs is 14 to 40 years. To meet the demand of the Industry, Institute has changed with the time & providing a nice atmosphere for training. For Upgradation of Institute, Industry Partner has associated with us & leadership of Industry Partner Institute Management Committee (IMC) has established. IMC has prepared the Institute Development Plan for next five years. Government of India has decided to Upgrade 1396 Government ITIs through Public Private Partnership. ITI W Rayya is one of the Institute in the above 1396 ITIs. Under the scheme Srishtri Infrastructure Limited has associated with ITI W Rayya as an Industry Partner. An Institute Management Committee (IMC), headed by the Industry Partner is constituted in the ITI and registered as a Society namely IMC of ITI W Rayya. Interest free loan of Rs.2.5 cr. is received by the Central Government directly to the IMC of ITI W Rayya on the basis of Institute Development Plan (IDP) prepared by IMC of ITI W Rayya . IMC of ITI W Rayya has financial and academic autonomy by the State Government to manage the affairs of the ITI. A Memorandum of Agreement is signed among the Central Government, the State Government and the Industry Partner defining the roles and responsibilities of all the parties.
