Introduction

It is a matter of great privilege and Pride for me to introduce you with the Dayanand Junior Technical School, Jalandhar City. In this school Two streams of education are running Viz I. Matric-cum-I.T.I II. Purely I.T.I. courses. This school has got permanent affiliation with Punjab School Education Board, PSEB Mohali for Matric courses with affiliation No.J/6198 and National Council of Vocational Training N C V T, New Delhi for I.T.I.s courses with affiliation No. 5/15/3/01-TC dated 23/24 July, 1986.

This school excels not only academically but also in sports and extra co-curricular activities. The school has laudable aim before it to impart update knowledge to its students to mould their character and to shape their personality, so that they become useful citizens of the Nation, We want students to the Simple, Intelligent, Honest, Self respecting and above all Patriotic.

History

This school was started by the Centre and State Govt. in collaboration with D A V College Managing Committee, New Delhi in August, 1965. Late Dr. Baldev Parkash Ji, Finance and Industry Minister of Punjab himself laid the foundation stone of the building of this school on 19th April, 1967. This school is hundred percent Grant-in-Aid from State Government and the whole expenditure is borne by the State Govt. Infrastructure e.g. Building, Machinery, Tools and equipment etc.of this school has also given by Govt.. We have qualified and dedicated faculty and spacious building with perfect ventilation and lighting arrangements. It has big play ground and big grassy lawns. The motto of this school is Do your job well.
