Introduction
I, Paramjit Singh Maan (Prop.) of this institute have a Naval-background. Once my ship was docked in Dubai ship repair yard. Most of the work force of that shipyard was from India, Pakistan, Sri-Lanka & Bangladesh. All Indian workers were from Southern states. I met only two drivers from North (Punjab). There it came to my mind that after leaving Navy, I should set up some sort of Technical Institute in my area. So thus Punjab I.T.C. was set up.
Mission
To impart quality technical education to students so that they can get employment. At the same time Industry get properly trained workforce. As this Institute is self funded and does not get any grant from Govt. or Semi-Govt. source, same way we also encourage, prepare, guide students to start their own small business and become self employed.
History
Punjab ITC was established in Barnala (Malwa Belt of Punjab), in year 2000. This area was having few Govt. ITIs in big cites, and most of the students were going to Dehradun or some other places for taking admission. Initially we started two trades namely Electrician and Wireman. Now we run four trades i.e. Electrician, Wireman, Health & Sanitary Inspector and Hair & Skin Care. This Institute is fully equipped with required Tools & Machinery and well trained staff and has a good name in the area.
