Introduction

SUS ITI Sunam Established in 1963 by Government of Punjab, at Patiala Road near Court Sunam Distt. Sangrur Punjab. In the Both Boys & Girls get the training in different trades. Approximately all trades that are needed in local industry are started here. In these trades both engineering & non engineering trades are available in this ITI. These are some particle trades which are related to Agriculture field such as Center of Excellency COE is running successfully. Almost 35percent students take this training. To full fill the target of training a well stored library is here. There is also a dispensary for medical facility.

Mission

The mission of ITI Sunam is to give technical education to the trainees, so that will earn their living. After training the trainees send to the industries so they share in the development of country. Now a day in India most population is there young age from the whole world. These young people need to guide so they full fill the target of economical progress. The trainees that got training in ITI prepare themselves to start their own business related to their trade. In this way the trainees get knowledge how to get loan from banks and establish themselves in the local industry. In this way the dual target is a achieved by the ITI s on e hand it. Guide the trainees started in their life on the other hand they give their best in industrial development of country.

History

India got freedom in 1947. From that day India face different kinds of problems, poor economy also a big problem against India. To raise up the economy there was a great need of Industry development. To full fill the target of development in industry Indian government make 5 years plants. They kept a huge amount. For industry development Indian Government starts industrial training institute in the whole country. Many ITI allotted to new divided Punjab. SUS ITI Sunam also take its birth in 1963 . The name of ITI Sunam is related to Shaheed Udham Singh who sacrifice his life for his country from its starting to till date the institute progress day & night.

To give the practical training according to syllabus.
To give the Theoretical training according to syllabus.
To give self employment knowledge to the trainees.
After training place students in different companies.
