Introduction

With the emergence of fast industrialization in the country, the demand for skilled workers has increased manifolds. To cope with this increased demand and to provide maximum employment to the youth by training them in various technical trades, State Govt. has set up 25 New Industrial Training Institutes in Punjab. Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Ghanour is one of them and has been established by State Government in 2021 with a vision to empower individuals with technical skills and knowledge. It is situated in the Ghanour town of Patiala District and is the source of learning and growth in the field of vocational education. Many Govt. Offices e.g Muncipal Committee, Sub Tehsil office, University College, PSPCL Office, B.D.P.O., Post Ofice, Civil Hospital etc. are located nearby this Institute. This institute is easily accessible via roadways.

Mission

Our Mission is to produce technicians and skilled manpower in different vocational trades as per requirement of industry thereby enabling them to get themselves employed in factories and workshops or start their own entrepreneurial units.

History

This Institute has recently been established by State Government in 2021 to impart quality technical education.

Giving exposure of modern Technology and promoting multi skill development with emphasis on communication skills to students, through knowledge reservoir lecturers & guest faculty.
